Under the leadership of PBGEN Portia B. Hopefully, the coordination of PNP Women and Children Protection Center (WCPC), Luzon Field Unit – WCPC, Quezon City Police District, National Capital Region Police Office, and City Social Welfare and Development Office was successful in their operation to arrest the said woman who is a member of a Facebook group serving as a children's sale.
The next day, the accused was taken to the Department of Justice - philippines to be subjected to inquiry proceeding. According to the defendant, his classmate's infant child was only sold to him.
After the inquiry proceeding, the accused remains in the custody of PNP-WCPC and the baby who was rescued to be given appropriate care and care is currently in the care of the Department of Social Welfare and Development - DSWD.
