On February 21, 2025 at approximately 4:50 PM, the Iligan City Police Office (ICPO) Task Force OSAEC led by PCPT Nera C. Cabrera, along with personnel from ICMFC-SWAT, ICPS 1, RACU X LDN PCRT, WCPC-MFU, CSWD-Iligan City and DSWD X, executed a successful entrapment and rescue operation in Iligan City.

The operation led to the arrest of two (2) suspects. Both suspects face serious charges in connection with the Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM) Act, specifically Sections 4(a), (c), and (g) of R.A. No. 11930.

The operation was carried out following a thorough investigation and in coordination with the CSWD-Iligan City and DSWD X. A Warrant to Search, Seize, and Examine Computer Data was issued by the Executive Judge Hon. Ali Ombra R. Bacaraman.

Authorities were able to successfully rescue two (2) female minors and one (1) male minor from the custody of the suspects. The victims have been immediately placed under the care of the CSWD Children Assessment and Processing Center for after-care and support services.

This operation is part of the ongoing efforts to combat online sexual abuse and exploitation of children, ensuring that those who engage in such heinous activities are held accountable. The authorities involved in this operation remain committed to providing justice for victims of such crimes and continuing their efforts in the fight against online exploitation.
