DOJ indicts mother in Pampanga for selling lewd live show of minor daughters

Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin “Boying” C. Remulla issued a stern warning against human traffickers who continue to prey on the innocence of minors.

This as the Department of Justice (DOJ) Task Force on Women and Children and Against Trafficking in Persons, headed by Deputy State Prosecutor (DSP) Olivia I. Laroza-Torrevillas and Task Force member/Inquest Prosecutor Criselda B. Teoxon-Yanga, recommended the filing of qualified trafficking and online sexual abuse or exploitation charges against a mother in Dau, Pampanga who sold online lewd videos of her minor daughter.

Based from the Information filed by the Philippine National Police - Women and Children Protection Center – Luzon Field Unit (PNP-WCPC-LFU), an undercover agent posed as a foreigner online where he met the respondent via Skype who tried to ask for money in exchange for a live video of her naked daughter while playing herself.

The communications between the undercover agent and respondent went on for quite some time which usually involve asking for money in exchange for lewd live videos of her daughter.

As the connection between them grew stronger, the agent was able to convince the respondent to reveal her address which led to the emergency rescue operation of her daughter who was caught in the act performing in front of a video camera.

The other daughter of the respondent was also rescued during the operation.

In this case, it is evident that respondent committed qualified trafficking by offering the production and creation of pornographic and sexual exploitation of the minor victim, by showing to her customers her daughter’s naked body while taking a bath and watch via online in exchange for a fee in the amount of $50,” the Resolution said.

“Respondent should also be indicted for violation of the Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) considering that the sexual exploitation of the minor was committed with the use of information and technology as respondent required the victim to perform live shows shows using an Skype account in exchange for money,” it added.

Secretary  Remulla said, “The government will never relent in fighting those who exploit these fragile treasures of society, they are the worst enemies of the State.”

But we need the help of a vigilant citizenry  to weed them out,” he added.
