On 12 March 2025, Undersecretary Margarita N. Gutierrez gave a talk on the realities of sexual abuse in the Philippines. This was followed up by a comprehensive lecture on Safe Spaces Act by DOJAC Program Director, Assistant State Prosecutor Joan Carla V. Guevarra.

As an advocate of women empowerment, Usec. Gutierrez reprised them of women’s dynamic role as the active voice in nation building.

In addition, PD Guevarra reminded the candidates of Miss Universe PH of their power to speak up through the struggles of gender-based violence and sexual harassment prevailing in communities.

Over 70 participants from the Miss Universe PH actively engaged in the lecture that even sparked a hearty and emphatic sharing of experiences leading to a deep understanding of their own self-worth and their rights under the law.
