Committed to deliver ‘Justice for All’ under the Bagong Pilipinas brand of leadership, Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Boying Remulla has approved and ordered the full adoption of the DOJ Development Plan for 2023-2028.
In line with the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) for 2023-2028 implemented by virtue of Executive Order No. 14 of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., Secretary Remulla has approved the full implementation of the DOJ Development Plan to serve as a roadmap in fulfilling its mandate in the 8-point socioeconomic agenda of the Marcos Administration, particularly in upholding public order and safety, peace and security.
In a short ceremony last Friday attended by heads of agencies, services and programs, the manifesto was formally approved recognizing the DOJ as the principal law agency of the government with a crucial role to play in three major areas, specificallyin Enhancing the Administration of Justice, Promoting Competition/Improving Regulatory Efficiency and last but not the least, Practicing Good Governance and Improving Bureaucratic Efficiency.
The Plan also has 6 main parts, namely: Institutional Framework, Institutional Assessment (2017-2023), Strategic Framework, Strategies, Legislative Agendas and Enacted Laws, Investment Targets and Public Investment Program (PIP).
"The DOJ Development Plan is more than just a strategy document. It will serve as a critical framework for our organizational planning, reforms, innovations, and priorities. It is our blueprint for action, aligning our Department with the national development agenda and ensuring that we remain focused on what matters most: serving the Filipino people with integrity and efficiency, Undersecretary-in-Charge for Planning and Management Service (PMS) Margarita N. Gutierrez pointed out.
The Justice Secretary underscored the significance of the DOJ Development Plan. “This will serve as a master plan for the Department and all its attached/constituent agencies in building a solid foundation of justice which is efficient, unyielding and equitable to all, a legacy under the Bagong Pilipinas leadership which will remain beneficial to every Filipino even after the present administration's term," Secretary Remulla stressed.
