Call for Comments on the Draft of the Rules Implementing the Criminal Provisions of Republic Act No. 10667, otherwise known as The Philippine Competition Act

The Department of Justice-Office for Competition (DOJ-OFC) cordially invites the public to send their comments on the Proposed RULES IMPLEMENTING THE CRIMINAL PROVISIONS OF THE REPUBLIC ACT NO. 10667, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE PHILIPPINE COMPETITION ACT (PCA).

The PCA vests the DOJ-OFC with the power to conduct preliminary investigation and undertake prosecution of all criminal offenses arising from the PCA and other competition-related laws.

The Proposed Rules establish a framework in implementing the criminal provisions of the PCA, including rules on the conduct of preliminary investigation and prosecution of competition cases, and the grant of immunity to witnesses under the Leniency Program administered by the DOJ-OFC.

The public may send their comments on the draft rules to [email protected] with the subject title "Comments on the Proposed Rules" or via ordinary or registered mail to DOJ-Office for Competition, 2nd floor, JDC Center Building, Engracia Reyes Street, Ermita, Manila. Deadline for submission is on or before 09 March 2020.
