DOJ conducts Search Warrant Operation against School Teacher for Online Distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Materials

The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced today that its Office of Cybercrime (DOJ-OOC) and National Bureau of Investigation-Dagupan District Office (NBI-DADO) implemented a Search Warrant against the premises of Mark Carlo U. AQUINO, school teacher, in Bayambang, Pangasinan early morning Tuesday, 03 July 2018, for online distribution of child sexual abuse materials.

The case stemmed from a report received by the DOJ-OOC where subject AQUINO is selling or offering to sell through his Twitter account child sexual abuse materials.  Seized were laptop computers, storage devices, smart phone, and other electronic devices.

Subject will be charged for violation of Republic Act No. 9775 or the Anti-Child Pornography Act of 2009, in relation to Republic Act No. 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
