Justice Secretary Aguirre praises Bureau of Immigration personnel on duty at all NAIA terminals for a job well done during the holy week passenger rush

17 April 2017

The almost seamless manner that our Bureau of Immigration personnel, who were assigned at all the terminals of the NAIA, have handled the large volume of arriving and departing passengers during the Holy Week rush speaks volume of their level of professionalism and of their dedication to their duties and responsibilities. Their current situation notwithstanding, they served and they served well.

Congratulations for a Job Well Done!

                                                           - Justice Secretary Vitaliano N. Aguirre II

Justice Secretary Vitaliano N. Aguirre II lauded the efforts of all Bureau of Immigration personnel who were on duty at all the terminals of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport during the Holy Week.

I wish to thank the good men and women of the BI, from top to bottom,  for their professionalism and dedication to duty during the Holy Week rush of arriving and departing passengers at all the terminals of the NAIA,” Justice Secretary Aguirre said.

Last April 13, 2017, on  Maundy Thursday, I received a report that it only takes an average 22.5 seconds for our Immigration Officers to process an arriving passenger and an average of 55 seconds for them to process a departing passenger. Considering the current situation of our Bureau of Immigration personnel relative to their overtime and augmentation pay concerns, this is a truly laudable effort that entailed the cooperation and sacrifices of everyone. This is truly a job well done!,” added Secretary Aguirre.
